Rimfire Carnival

Rimfire Carnival Chair: Bryon Fessler - firstshots@ncrgc.org
The 10th Annual Rimfire Carnival was a record-breaker success! This premier club event brought together shooters, families, and volunteers for a full day of fun and competition. Planning for the event totaled over 140 volunteer hours, with nearly 300 additional hours dedicated to execution — from stage setup to registration, parking, food service, and door prizes. A total of 160 people attended, including 100 shooters who fired more than 20,000 rounds of .22LR safely down range. A special thank you goes out to the 17 Range Safety Officers (RSOs) whose time and expertise ensured a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. We also want to recognize the incredible support from volunteers who handled registration and food. A personal shout-out to my family for grilling 200 hamburgers and providing 180 bags of chips, 160 Rice Krispy treats, and 320 bottles of water.
This year’s event was made even more special thanks to our generous sponsors: Ruger, Chipper's Lanes, Scheels, USA Liberty Arms, Savior, Bulldog Tactical, the Buck family, and the Northern Colorado Rod & Gun Club. Their commitment to the shooting sports helps make this family-friendly event possible year after year. Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, and sponsored the Rimfire Carnival. It’s truly an honor to be part of such a fantastic community. We can’t wait to see you again next year!
The 11th Annual Rimfire Carnival will be held on Saturday, August 8th, 2025, from 10 am to 3 pm. This safe, family friendly event is open to the public and there will be 20 stages. Each participant will receive door prize tickets at check in good for numerous prizes, including firearms! Stages are set up to accommodate both rifle and handgun in .22 LR only (no centerfire, 17 HMR, 22 mag, etc.). All firearms must be unloaded and cased (no holsters) until you are on the firing line under the direction of a Range Safety Officer. Please bring 200 rounds (or more) of .22 LR ammo as each stage is a max of 10 shots. $15 admission includes lunch. Club members can receive $5 back at registration. This event is limited to the first 100 shooters who register and pay. Spectators are welcome to attend providing they sign a waiver. The Rifle Range is closed during this annual event starting at sunrise. Please contact the First Shots Lead Instructor if you have any questions (firstshots@ncrgc.org).
This is the Club's premier annual event and you do not want to miss it!
