Rimfire Carnival

The 6th Annual Rimfire Carnival was a huge success! 80 shooters participated in the event which is a new Club record. We gave away 140 swag items during the raffle including two beautiful Ruger 10/22 collector series rifles with American Flag synthetic stocks, which both went to young guns. Special thanks go to the 15 RSOs who volunteered their time and talent to ensure a safe and fun event. Additional thanks go to Chef Casey for grilling the brats/dogs and to Terri and Leslie for serving the chips, cookies, and drinks. My family also played a special role by helping with the registration and raffle. Special recognition goes to the Club members who donated raffle items, constructed target stands, and assisted me with setup and tear down. Over 250 volunteer hours went into this premier event. Thank you!

The 6th Annual Rimfire Carnival will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2021 from 10 am to 3 pm. This safe, family friendly event is open to the public and there will be 20 stages including bowling pins, aliens, playing cards, pencils, ducks, steel, zombies, etc. Every stage that you "win" gets you a raffle ticket good for numerous prizes including firearms! Stages are set up to accommodate both rifle and handgun in .22 LR only (no centerfire). All firearms must be unloaded and cased (no holsters) until you are on the firing line under the direction of a Range Safety Officer. Please bring approximately 200 rounds of .22 LR ammo as each stage is a max of 10 shots. $15 admission includes lunch. Limited to the first 80 shooters who preregister and prepay. Spectators are welcome to attend. The Rifle Range is closed during this annual event starting at sunrise.

Previous Carnivals

The 5th Annual Rimfire Carnival (First Shots Second Round event) was a success thanks to the 70 shooters, 10 spectators, 12 Range Safety Officers, 170 brats/hotdogs, sponsors (over 100 giveaway items including 2 firearms), and a smoky Colorado day due to the fires in the local area. We complied with all the COVID-19 restrictions from the Larimer County Health Department which made for a more challenging event. Despite all that, the shooters and spectators remained positive and upbeat. The 20 stages included prairie dogs, zombies, ducks, hostage, playing cards, clays, murder hornets, shotgun shells, eggs, bowling pins, animals, suckers, Jurassic park, pencils, know your limits, plastic bottles, spinners, dueling trees, and aliens have landed and they were all set up for rifle and handgun. Participants received hats, t-shirts, and lunch for the $10 entry fee. Special thanks to all the RSOs and volunteers who helped prepare for, setup, and tear down the event. This event would not happen without your time and talent and it is greatly appreciated. Additional thanks to Ben Price (https://adsortiummedia.com/for taking photos during the event, some of which will be posted on our website soon..
