The Northern Colorado Rod & Gun Club (NCRGC) has one Skeet field, one Trap field and an area designated for use by NCRGC members and their guests where they can throw clay targets using their own thrower or the fixed manual thrower.
There is a bin containing clay targets in the manual throwing area and the clay targets in the bin can be used, when available.
The manual throwing area cannot be used while:
Unbroken clays must be collected after you are done shooting. Unbroken clays should be saved or, if club provided clays are being used, returned to the clay target bin.
Scheduled NCRGC events will always take precedence and determine the shotgun fields’ availability. Be sure to check the NCRGC calendar before your visit to the range to that there are no surprises when you arrive.
Skeet & Trap Events
New shooters are always welcomed! If you have never shot skeet or trap before, no problem! We will gladly show you around and teach you the basics.
Please review the Rules & Regulations page for additional information including a section dedicated to “Skeet & Trap Event Safety Rules”.
Bi-monthly Skeet & Trap Events
These events are usually held on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of every month, from 9am to 12pm, weather permitting. Both skeet and trap fields are generally used during each event.
These events are held on select Wednesdays, from 1pm to 4pm, weather permitting. The event generally rotates between skeet and trap and the NCRGC calendar and Facebook page should identify details of the event being held.
Other events may be added to the NCRGC calendar and posted on the NCRGC Facebook page. If you would like to be added to a Shotgun Event email distribution list to receive notifications about events, send your request to email@example.com with the subject being “Add to distro list”.
IMPORTANT: Event details and schedules may change on short notice so be sure to check the NCRGC calendar on the day of the event to ensure that that the event is still scheduled and has not been cancelled. Details may also be found on the NCRGC Facebook page. Cancellation due to weather conditions will also be recorded and heard by calling the NCRGC at 970-282-1648.
