Northern Colorado Defensive Pistol is on Target for Fun!

  • The next monthly match will be held on November 2nd and we'll be shooting winter hours. There will be a rifle side match following the regular course of fire.

  • Set up starts at 9am, followed by registration at 9:30am and new shooters meeting followed by walk thru at 10:30am, shoots starts at 11am.

  • Please note, Non NCRGC members attending the match can not use other range facilities while at the match.

  • If the weather is questionable, call 970-282-1648 before driving to the range. If the match has been canceled, there will be a message on the answering machine.

    • We run a Cold Range" "This means that once you leave your vehicle the gun must be unloaded with mag well empty and the hammer must be down". NO gun handling in the range area before or after the match. Only place that pistols can be handled is at the "Safe Handling Area", at your car, or at the line under the supervision of a line officer. Put your pistol on your hip at your car, and unload your pistol before walking through the gate at the "Action Range". This is known as cold range rules. If I, or my designated line officers, witness this rule being broken, you'll be asked to leave. No compromises on this item.

    Goals of NCR&GC Defensive Pistol

    NCR&GC Defensive Pistol discipline is dedicated to furthering the defensive shooting and gun handling skill of our match participants. We accomplish this by providing an informal and relaxed environment in which all match participants may seek the knowledge and advice of other individuals that have the same interest.

    We stress safety beyond all other principles of shooting, followed by technique and accuracy. We strive to provide realistic simulated defensive shooting stages to create a unique, enjoyable, and challenging shooting experience.
